Correction and interpretation of award; additional award


(1)(a)

Within 30 days after receipt of the award, unless another period of time has been agreed upon by the parties:
A party, with notice to the other party, may request the arbitral tribunal to correct in the award any errors in computation, any clerical or typographical errors, or any errors of similar nature.
If so agreed by the parties, a party, with notice to the other party, may request the arbitral tribunal to give an interpretation of a specific point or part of the award.
If the arbitral tribunal considers the request to be justified, it shall make the correction or give the interpretation within 30 days after the request. The interpretation becomes part of the award.

The arbitral tribunal may correct any error described in subparagraph (1)(a)1. on its own initiative within 30 days after the date of the award.

Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, a party, with notice to the other party, may request, within 30 days after the receipt of the award, the arbitral tribunal to make an additional award as to claims presented in the arbitral proceedings but omitted from the award. If the arbitral tribunal considers the request to be justified, it shall make the additional award within 60 days after the request.

The arbitral tribunal may extend, if necessary, the period of time within which it shall make a correction, interpretation, or additional award pursuant to subsection (1) or subsection (3).

(5)

Section 684.0042, specifying the form and contents of an award, applies to a correction or interpretation of the award or to an additional award.
