Florida National Guard Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program


(1)

The Florida National Guard Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program (JEEP) is established within the Department of Military Affairs. The purpose of the program is to motivate soldiers, airmen, and retirees of the Florida National Guard to bolster recruitment efforts and increase the force structure of the Florida National Guard.

(2)

As used in this section, the term “recruiting assistant” means a member of the Florida National Guard or a retiree of the Florida National Guard who assists in the recruitment of a new member and who provides motivation, encouragement, and moral support until the enlistment of such new member.

(3)

A current member in pay grade E-1 to O-3 or a retiree in any pay grade is eligible for participation in JEEP as a recruiting assistant.

(4)

The Adjutant General shall provide compensation to recruiting assistants participating in JEEP. A recruiting assistant shall receive $1,000 for each new member referred by them to the Florida National Guard upon the enlistment of such referred member.

(5)

The Department of Military Affairs, in cooperation with the Florida National Guard, shall adopt rules to administer the program.

(6)

This section expires July 1, 2025.
