Maintenance of guest register and copy of laws

(1)

It is the duty of each operator of a recreational vehicle park that rents to transient guests to maintain at all times a register, signed by or for guests who occupy rental sites within the park. The register must show the dates upon which the rental sites were occupied by such guests and the rates charged for the guests’ occupancy. This register shall be maintained in chronological order and shall be available for inspection by the department at any time. An operator is not required to retain a register that is more than 2 years old.

Such operator shall maintain at all times a current copy of this chapter in the park office, which shall be made available to a member of the public upon request.

(3)

When a guest occupies a recreational vehicle in a recreational vehicle park for less than 6 months, as evidenced by the length of stay shown in the guest register, there is a rebuttable presumption that the occupancy is transient.
