Organization; headquarters; personnel; meetings

(1)

The board shall annually elect a chair and a vice chair from its number. The board shall maintain its headquarters in Tallahassee.

(2)

The department shall appoint or employ such personnel as may be necessary to assist the board in exercising the powers and performing the duties and obligations set forth in this act. Such personnel need not be licensed barbers and shall not be members of the board. Such personnel shall be authorized to do and perform such duties and work as may be assigned by the board.

(3)

The board shall hold an annual meeting and such other meetings during the year as it may determine to be necessary. The chair of the board may call other meetings at her or his discretion. A quorum of the board shall consist of not less than four members.

(4)

The board has authority to adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement the provisions of this chapter.
