Administrator license required

(1)

No nursing home in the state may operate unless it is under the management of a nursing home administrator who holds a currently valid license, provisional license, or temporary license.

(2)

Nothing in this part or in the rules adopted hereunder shall require an administrator of any facility or institution operated by and for persons who rely exclusively upon treatment by spiritual means through prayer, in accordance with the creed or tenets of any organized church or religious denomination, to be licensed as a nursing home administrator if the administrator is employed only to administer in such facilities or institutions for the care and treatment of the sick.
