Other agencies; cooperation and referral


(1)

When an individual contacts any public agency requesting rehabilitation services, the agency shall determine whether the individual’s needs can be met by that agency. If the agency determines that it cannot meet the individual’s needs and it knows of no resources in the community that can meet the individual’s needs, the agency shall refer the individual to the division via a toll-free telephone number.

(2)

Every public agency shall cooperate with the division to ensure that rehabilitation services are available.
