Applicability and scope


(1)

The Children’s Medical Services program consists of the following components:The newborn screening program established in s. 383.14.The regional perinatal intensive care centers program established in ss. 383.15-383.19.The developmental evaluation and intervention program, including the Early Steps Program.The Children’s Medical Services network.

(a)

The newborn screening program established in s. 383.14.

(b)

The regional perinatal intensive care centers program established in ss. 383.15-383.19.

(c)

The developmental evaluation and intervention program, including the Early Steps Program.

(d)

The Children’s Medical Services network.

(2)

The Children’s Medical Services program shall not be deemed an insurer and is not subject to the licensing requirements of the Florida Insurance Code or the rules adopted thereunder.
