Florida or wild panther; killing prohibited; penalty


(1)

It is unlawful for a person to kill a member of the Florida “endangered species,” as defined in s. 379.2291(3), known as the Florida panther (Felis concolor coryi).

(2)

It is unlawful for a person to kill any member of the species of panther (Felis concolor) occurring in the wild.

(3)

A person who violates this section commits a Level Four violation under s. 379.401.
